A Finnish power metal band which formed in 1982. A symphonic metal band, possibly a progressive metal band. This band has gone through alot member changes over the years, with the best albums, IMO:

I have all of Stratovarius's albums in my collection, and Timo's solo as well. Apparently they are releasing a new album this spring sometime, I'm not sure if Timo is part of the band anymore though.

Shaggy start with Visions, it is very well liked by most fans of the band.

The album is pretty decent. Not as good as Visions, but I am glad I have it. The album is alot like Elements part 1.

I've never really gotten into Stratovarius, although I should, because they are a lot like Sonata Arctica (which I love). Timo has an amazing voice.

between Eagle Heart, and Searching High and Low, they have been added to my daily listening though.

Finland puts out a lot of death metal, but some of the best Power/Symphonic metal also comes from there.

I'm having a brainfart, and the only ones I can think of are Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Apocalyptica, and sadly Korpiklaani
