I can't believe there's no designated thread for these guys already They're from the same little village I live in now, but despite this I have never seen them live, or even met any of them (although Stuart Cable and I used to have staring competitions across the bar of a local pub, RIP Stuart )

I fully enjoyed the videos you have posted, Pixel. This band has a unique pop sound

As a newbie to Stereophonics, I don't know what album would be best to begin with. What would you recommend?

I like Stereophonics, only have one of their albums though - Just Enough Education To Perform. I think Kelly Jones has a great voice.

Wow, I can't believe I managed to somehow bypass the responses to this thread...

Magic - I don't actually own any of their albums (there's hardly any need, really, when pretty much everyone else in the area has them blasting at full volume most of the time) but from the songs I know, I would say start with 'Performance And Cocktails' and 'Just Enough Education To Perform'.

Tray - Yeah, it is really sad that Stuart died, to be honest I'm still not quite 100% sure what happened to him. I see his mother in town all the time, and she's always telling anyone who will listen how proud she is of her son, it's really sweet

I think my own personal favourite songs from these guys are 'Just Looking' and 'Local Boy In The Photograph', the latter is a karaoke favourite at my local pub
