What are some songs that have great guitar that aren't recognized as great guitar songs?
For me, they are:

Another Brick In The Wall- Pink Floyd
Any Way You Want It- Journey
Hey You- Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd & Journey are both highly recognized here. Both as great songs and as great guitar songs as you put it.

Same thing with Stephen Stills on Carry On ,, the build up is spot on IMO.

ZZ Top - Legs

This song jams....some nice Billy Gibbons leads in this tune, most notably the middle solo and the outro solo....top notch playing...

^^^^^^^^The Beatles did a great version of that song live in front of the Queen. They nailed it. Paul really delivered on the vocals and the solo is vintage George before he became enamored with the sitar and slide. A real gem that is not mentioned very often.
