Smokin' Joe is one of the best dirty south blues guitarists. His sound is dirty, grimey, agressive, and definitely smokin'!! The vocals are clean and smooth, soulful, and have a groove like no other artists.
He began in the blues when he was a teenager playing with Freddie King. He teamed up with Bnois King (who sings alot of the vocals) and put together his own band in 1980 and released his first album in '81 and hasn't stopped yet. He has released a total of 13 albums, the last one being in 2008.
