That is an awesome collection of gear Thumper, the only thing missing are the amps and speakers.

My amps were behind me.. and the speakers are sorta in the picture.. But thanks Lord.. I enjoy playing around in that room.. And I have great neighbors who never complain about the noise.. Um..NOISE??? well.. I hope it's not noise..

Ah!! OK.. I see what your into.. Your system looks like it can blast the nails out of the walls..
I have a decent system.. Over the years I picked up a few amps and you can't see it in my picture but I run my home system through some BOSE 401 reflection speakers.. To the left in my picture is a deep closet I have my set up in.. I did some DJ work in the past so what I have is two of everything and run it through a nice 8 channel mixer..
It has plenty of kick to it.. I just didn't have the room to set it up where my drums and guitars are..
What kindof speakers do you have?? They look very nice!!

Those are IMF Mk. IV's imported from England, I bought them in 1979, and they still sound great. I even picked up a pair of replacement woofers on e-bay two years ago, had to replace one so I'm going to keep them going as long as I can.

Cool!!Nothing like a dynamic set of older model speakers to hold up for a long time.. My BOSE I've had for going on 30 years!! In my picture you see a set of Sony SS-U520's that put out a fair sound..
I've been considering buying some new speakers that take up less room..
I've even considered custom building some in the walls in my room.. But that idea might be over the top..

I would only build in speakers if I was going to stay in the house for a long long time...otherwise there are some great speakers out there. I visit e-bay's vintage electronics page regularly and have picked up some great deals, especially on hard to find replacement parts. Thank Gawd there are still people who love the old equipment out there.

I own my home so tearing walls out and doing whatever I want is nice.. Resale might be a problem But I scout on Craigslist and come up with some stuff.. That's where I go looking for instruments if I feel like buying a new toy.
We will have to trade idea's on speakers out there.. I've heard some great systems and for me.. it's gotta be a rockn' system for me to own.

I'm in a band again! This time there are no creative differences. We all have the same music taste. Two of my best friends play instruments, one guitar, one drums. And since I'm a bassist, we thought we should start a band together. No name yet, just formed tonight, so suggestions for names would be nice, were trying to think of some.

I wasn't going to indulge in any more GAS until I'd had a chance to save for a while (especially since the Martin needs a neck reset and that won't be cheap), but I couldn't resist taking advantage of a ridiculously low price on this "scratch-n-dent" Breedlove:







It plays and sounds and looks really, really nice. It's an Engelmann spruce top and Ovangkol back and sides. The little bitty scuff at the edge of the headstock near the B string post (looks much worse in the pic than it does in real life) saved me over $300.
