Simon & Garfunkel: The Boxer vs Sound of Silence

A couple of the more popular tunes by this duo. The Boxer is listed at #105 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Sound of Silence resides at #156 on the same list. Not that RS's list of anything is the be-all/end-all to music lists, but just putting it into prospective. Sound of Silence was the duo's first hit, which was also a #1 song on the charts as well as their first gold record.

I tried to find/use YT vids that were from the studio version of these two songs. There are plenty of live version out there as well, some fans even consider those live version to be better. All a matter of preference.

I just have to go with "Sound Of Silence". I think it's probably one of the best recordings of the 1960's.

I go back and forth with these two tunes, among my favorites by S&G, but I think more often than not, Sound of Silence comes out on top for me.
