^^Just finished listening to it...I'd forgotten how "ethereal" Sigur Ros was...been concentrating on backfilling old classic albums recently at the expense of everything else.

Von Brigði (Recycle Bin)-This is the only cd ive heard by them and i enjoyed it.It gets a poor press.I need to check out more of their works.Ill study this thread....cheers

This is one of my favorite bands. Their music is perfection. I've really enjoyed their albums and I look forward to listen to the new record (Kveikur) that will be published this June.

I know that Kjartan has left the band... and he was the only one among them who has studied music... So, I'm really curious to see what will happen with this new album.
The two singles that are out are beautiful...
I prefer the first one, Brennisteinn, though.
Isjaki seems too pop for their standard (but nice, anyway)...

I have von and have split the digital cd into 4 parts like the vinyl release.
First 3 tracks sound amazing

I think Von, their first album, is the less representative and the less interesting...
I suggest you to listen to their second album Agaetis Byrjun... it is amazing!
It's with Agaetis Byrjun that they've improved their quality and have become the Sigur Ros we all know...


This one, Flugufrelsarinn, is one of my favorite on this record.
