I posted this poll to hear opinions and get ideas from members. It was not intended to be a definitive decision on how to handle newbies but a source for opinions on how people feel about restricting newbies.

The thread has become a discussion about spam, which is off-topic. Spam is a problem at almost every website. We do our best to control it.

I am against restricting new members, but I am not against disallowing them to post links until they have reached a certain number of posts.

As LG stated above, we are in the early process of updating CRF. The new software will not only have a new look, but will be more efficient at handling spam. I can see no reason to change any settings at this time since I will be making all kinds of changes very soon.

I just wanted to get everyone's opinion before I made some changes. :)
