Rush are timeless, I'll wager the 180g vinyl sounds top drawer still got all my Rush vinyl but have them on CD now so don't play them. If I had the room I would purchase a record player again but I don't.
2112 was my favourite album until I just listened to Fly By Night.
Man this album packs some of the best tunes. Rivendell, Best I Can, Anthem. I think this is now my new favourite Rush album.
Anthem is one of the funnest songs to play on drums. It isn't particularly all that hard if you get the rolling with both arms and legs part down but the way it all ties together is just such a joy. Man, that albums is way cool. I think you'll like Caress of Steel as well.
I like Making Memories and Bytor as well. You can hear where Neil's playing and lyric writing solidified that lineup and helped make them what they are today.

I have been in a Rush mood lately. Been taking the entire discog and giving it a good listen. right now I am up to "A Farewell to Kings"....which is a trippy album, especially Xanadu.
At this point, I believe the band began using more synthesizers and did a lot more experimenting
I remember back in the day at one point I decided to get all the Rush albums I didn't have. They had a three record set called "Archives" that was the first three albums in one set. I had never been that excited about music before. Hemispheres really impressed me as a young player. Side two of that album is epic. Of course, I still have all the lp's up to Hold Your Fire out in the garage. Clockwork Angels is among the very best Rush records ever made. I'm loving it.
Just spun Clockwork Angels again yesterday! Super CD!!
Yeah Caress of Steel is an incredible album Riff. Surprised it got knocked so bad in the early days. Magic, I also thought Farewell was the start of the keyboard turn around that was heading our way.
