Neither release was among the best by either band. Rockin' Into The Night is easily my favorite 38 Special tune though and nothing on Run With The Pack gets close to my favorite BadCo tune (although I do love their rendition of Young Blood).

Giving 38 special the edge here, but just barely.

Bad Co. TBH I haven't heard the .38 Special album. Isn't it southern AOR?

Yes, joe, RITN is mostly southern style AOR. Imo, of the first three .38 Special albums, RITN was both the most commercially successful album, and also allowed them more time on FM radio, too. The title track from the album was probably played the most of all of the songs on FM radio, but there are some other terrific songs on the album, imo! RITN, Stone Cold Believer, You're The Captain and Turn It On are great songs, that have great music within them!

Run With The Pack was probably BC's last great album, athough Desolation Angels was very good.

Rockin' Into The Night was the last album .38 Special did before their slow transition into popularity and commercial hit songs, although Wide Eyed Southern Boys was very good, too.

so I see the connection here.

BC wins.
