Re: Robert Plant solo

He does have some good solo stuff like in The Mood, Tall Cool One, Other Arms, Ship of Fools, The whole Manic Nirvana album.

My Fave album is Principle of Moments. Now and Zen is decent and Mighty ReArranger is worth a listen, too.

Robert put on a great show with his old mate in Derby a few years back they played some of the many songs that had influenced his music.

Dreamland is a good album, has a few great songs at least. Walking Into Clarksdale is also good. I mean, even though that's Page & Plant, it sounds just like a Robert Plant solo record if you ask me.

Re: Robert Plant solo

I like his first couple albums but with each album he strayed farther and farther from good solid rock and lost me somehwere around the mid 80's.

Robert Plant talks about his voice

classicrockrevisited

ROBERT PLANT ON HIS AGING VOICE
Brought To You By VH1’s Dave Basner
Robert Plant turns 63 tomorrow (8/20). The Led Zeppelin singer has one of the most recognizable voices in rock, but has his age affected it at all? He filled us in.
(Cut #1) It’s like playing a guitar, the more you play, the more dexterous you become, the more your fingers move faster and all that sort of thing. But yeah, my voice has changed but I can go to high places if it’s what I have to do.”
Robert’s voice must be in amazing shape right now. Earlier this month, he wrapped up eight months of touring. Stay up to date with him at RobertPlant.com.

I hope Plant lives a long life.. He's one of the greats of Rock and I think he still has a great voice..
He will never pull off what he had during the Zeppelin years, but I don't think there will ever be any music like that ever again..

Re: Robert Plant talks about his voice

Rob's voice today is absolutely beautiful. It's a completely different thing than what he was doing in Zeppelin, which was also good. But it's certainly not the first time Robert's voice has changed or transformed... by 1972 he already didn't sound anything like the first 4 Zeppelin albums. Heck, by '70 he had lost the voice he had in '69. Not saying it was better or worse, just different.
