Robert Plant says NO to a Billion Dollar Payday
According to reports out of England, Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson had offered a 500 million pound payday (almost a billion dollars Canadian) to the members of Led Zeppelin to reform. An industry source has been quoted as saying “Robert, Jimmy, and John stood to make 450 Million per show (Canadian) for “35 Dates in three cities, London at the O2, Berlin and New Jersey”. Zeppelin was also promised a healthy chunk of cash for their merchandise and there was an option to do 45 more gigs in five venues”. Branson was also going to provide air transportation via his “Starship” but would be re-named Stairway To Heaven and sell off the back 20 rows of the aircraft as special Led Zeppelin seats for an astonishing $200,000 (Canadian) (keeps out the riff raff ).
