it's almost christmas and i think i should receive the buddah box song collection.

santa refuses to put me on his A list, and the post office keeps returning the letters that i have addressed to the north pole.

next time, i will think twice before having an affair with his wife.

in the meantime, i will search for the obscure and unusual songs of the 60s and 70s.

okay, been nice meeting you. i have to go now, because they're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA

Aren't we all? :)

Happy hunting....there's tons of great obsure 60's and 70's obscure tunes out there, that are easy to find - unlike the world of modern rock, imo.

Anyway, welcome to CRF.

:cheers2

thank you Jersey Girl! i couldn't help but notice the Springsteen reference. i listened to a few tracks of his a few months ago. he was doing a cajun jam (which really surprised me). i'm into just about every genre of music (foreign and domestic), one of them being cajun. so when i heard him play, my jaw dropped. it's been hanging open ever since. he nailed it!

oh gawd, am i creating a new thread? generally, i realize pop artists, such as Springsteen, have a secret desire to produce a type of music that isn't aimed at the masses or a decision made by an executive of a record company, but is focused toward a specific group of listeners. it is at this point where the prowess of the artist is even more refined. the relevance of money and marketing become absent in this instance, and we discover the influential factors that have led to the artist's fame.

better i stop here or i'll end up producing an ebook in the Classic Rock Forum.

I assume you are talking about We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions? Not my personal favorite since I'm not big into that type of music. But Bruce puts his heart into everything he does. Glad you found something in him you like. :)
