Something new...

The band I recommend and am listening non-stop is recent and new... Their first album is a few months old and the (truly excellent) musicians are twenty something... but can they play...

Therefore, I would strongly recommend listening to Promenade and their album "Noi al dir di noi", starting with the song "Il Secondo Passo", perhaps. My favorite track is "Athletics" but that is really a marathon at a sprint pace, maybe too much to start with. It will probably sweep you away as it did to me. But the whole album is great...

They are a new band, coming from Genoa, Italy, with young and very talented musicians, playing and creating high quality music, with a highly coherent and very well played sound, without trying to sound like other bands, but making complex arrangements, intertwining classic influences with jazz rock ambiances that create surprisingly good melodic and intelligent music. It is always great to discover great music from young bands in this day and age.
