Where would we find them? At least samplers anyway.algernon said:Just been listening online to a band called Zumpano from around the mid-nineties...sort of a retro sixties power-pop sound. They did covers of some relatively obscure Zombies, Jimmy Webb and WHO songs along with originals.I Like the sound, am intrigued, but looks like the discs are very rare...going for fifty bucks.
I have a Zombies tribute CD with a couple of songs by Zumpano. I was not impressed with their two albums. Of a side note. Carl Newman of Zumpano started the Indie favourite New Pornographers and his solo album "AC Newman" is critically favourable.algernon said:Just been listening online to a band called Zumpano from around the mid-nineties...sort of a retro sixties power-pop sound. Ever thought it's because you were listening to Christmas music all day at your station during December that they now sound good? :shirt:Nirvanadude said:I've been listening to Maroon5 lately. For some odd reason I really enjoy their music. I never knew of them until I got the new playlist at the radio station.
I hated them at first but they really grew on me. I picked up their CD this past weekend.
