Recent CD Purchases

I have Adams' 29, too. I like it better than JACKSONVILLE, but not nearly as much as COLD ROSES. I have to remember, though, it took me about 4 listens to COLD ROSES for it to really hit me.

Along with 29, I picked up Arcade Fire's FUNERAL. Pretty good disc, it too rewards repeated listens.

Arcade Fire is great! I love that CD. I also have to admit Cold Roses is my favorite of the three released this year by the prolific Mr. Adams. But all three are pretty good I think.

Also just picked up Trey Anastasio's Shine. Only listened to it once on Rhapsody and haven't had time to listen to it since but I liked what I heard so I'm sure it was a good purchase.

Just got back from the trafford centre with no Christmas money left!

10.Bob Dylan- Bringing It All Back Home (Again so many albums on wishlist, so little money)

I would have bought more but the '£10 off when you spend £60' deal doesn't start until bloodt tomorrow!! Goddammit!!

i also grabbed two ken burns jazz compilations, the one for charles mingus and thelonius monk.

picked up Travers & Appice - It Takes a Lot of Balls (2004) on SPV label yesterday while at Borders. It's alright,still maintains alot of Bluesy rock and roll, But there's a Hip-Hop song (track 4 I believe) which I don't care for at all. It least these guys are experimenting some.

How is this? I saw it in the stores Friday.

I rather like it. But it's not as good as their first album. Kind of like the last one. It was okay but nothing great.

I think the best songs are Juicebox and You Only Live Once. The rest is kind of bland.
