Finally got Aerial by Kate Bush. Haven't listened to it yet but I will first chance I get tomorrow.
wow, this sounds good. Are you affiliated with soulseek or any other p2p sites?Music Wench said:Just got Sun Kil Moon - Tiny Cities.
It's an album of Modest Mouse covers. Normally I don't care for covers but this one is pretty good. Gives the songs a different twist and really can change the tone of the songs from the original in a good way, that is.
Sorry but being sort of in the internet broadcasting business, it's kind of hazardous to my existence and all if we did that. Don't want any kind of hassles with the RIAA and their ilk.Zombeels said:wow, this sounds good. Are you affiliated with soulseek or any other p2p sites?
Read the book Free Culture by Lawrence Lessig and you will never pay for music again. The music business is the most cut-throat business ever. Now I didn't say never support the artists you like. There are many various ways to do it but you will realize how the RIAA is about control and manipulation. I may buy the odd CD online (e-bay) but I will never buy a new one from a CD store or any online music service. Especially mainstream artists.Music Wench said:Sorry but being sort of in the internet broadcasting business, it's kind of hazardous to my existence and all if we did that. I do recommend you try out Rhapsody. For a $9.95 a month subscription you can have access to a bunch of stuff - that's how I heard this one before I purchased it - you can listen to in it's entirety. I usually do this before buying anything these days - except for tried and true classics like Neil Young for example. Helps to keep from wasting your money on stuff you don't really want.
Fortunately, I don't have to pay for all of my music but until I can make sure the RIAA or some other organization like ASCAP or BMI won't fine me or sue me or something, I'm paying for the music that aren't sent to me as promos - which is a lot since record companies don't care about internet radio.
