Love it! MetalPriest introduced me to Avantasia. That’s where my love for opera/symphonic metal was born. The Scarecrow is my fav album. The album your song came from has a lot of guest vocalists…..it’s excellent! 10/10

Let’s stick with the same vocalist….

Not my favorite from "Sigh No More", but yet, it's a very decent metal-ballad which becomes noticeable heavier closer to the end. 7.5/10.

❣️❣️I love my ballads❣️❣️

Very angry. Aggressive. Not my cup of tea. Hard for me to rate because it’s not what I would listen to. 6/10

My compliments to the CRF members for their knowledge. I considered myself a pretty astute student of Classic Rock, but I am seeing all kind of bands that I didn't know existed.

I might be over my head here. :blush2:

Powerful, aggressive and versatile song from their debut. Great. 9/10.

To all: Thanks for letting me particpate.

"The Exploited"- Anti-UK

Very tight, strong bass line, and soloing. I can see pieces of Metallica, Gwar, and Sabbath as influences. but enough of their own innovative stuff to keep it interesting. Of course, being Scottish, had to be a hinder for them for fame, since I don't think the U.K. embraced Metal, like it was over here.

I'd give it 7.2/10

Note: Are their any specific rules, like bands being obscure, etc.?

Hello there! :grinthumb In this thread we are posting the heavy songs (including extreme metal) and the main rule is: to rate just one last song and then to post yours (which will be rate by someone else after that).

So, now I'll rate the song posted by @Magic and then will post mine.

Interesting. Good sample of old-school heavy. To my ears this song was similar to some proto-metal from the early 70's. Really
not bad, especislly the instrumental parts. 8/10.
