Yes but the majority of Opeth fans that hated Heritage will probably not like the new album either. Glad you also dug the new one too though. Most fickle Opeth fans won't even give it a proper chance. lol

Yeah I see what you mean. Opeth fans are amongst the most annoying I've come across in the metal community lol

It hasn't been released yet (August 26, 2014), but it leaked last month, so it's been out for some time now.

Pale Communion is where Heritage left off but probably had a bit more direction to it.

I've pretty well decided Pale Communion is my new favourite album of 2014. Listened to it many times this weekend and its been an enthralling listen every time. Its really that great a release.

I like the track Voice of Treason. I think that one had a rather theatrical feel to it too.

ok this will ever make me friends or lose them... I`ve never like the vocals of this band so I`ve never really listened to them so for a newbie to Opeth which album should be the first I search out...
