Official New Kids On The Block Thread

You've stepped into this thread, you should have already foreseen this. You are correct in assuming though, this is the same New Kids On The Block that you are probably thinking it is. In fact, not really sure there is any other group of men that labeled themselves as this. If there is however, that would be news to me. Anyway, New Kids On The Block, another one of those "holy crap, I grew up listening to these boys" kind of groups.

This group specifically has a special place in my heart for reasons I cannot express fully through text. I saw them perform at the white river ampitheater here when they were touring with Jabawakees (the same ones from Americas Best Dance Crew), and Jesse McCartney (the hottie with a body).

Love this group, love their sound.

O.K., I'll bite! I was a kid amongst the hype and honestly I've thought about buying their hits for the nostalgia. They are still catchy tracks and I stand behind the fact that I think they are better than The Backstreet Boys or N 'Sync! I love the irony of a boy band singing this though:

^ I don't really own a lot of their stuff, i've only gotten a hold of their Greatest Hits CD. Which is pretty fantastic on it's own. A friend of mine gave me their christmas album, and I just can't get into it. It just sounds funny hearing a boy band sing christmas music.

Just watched this. Now, I'm not sure if I should go find a cliff to
leap off of, or just find a shower curtain rod and a short rope.




Heh, seriously. I was never "into" these guys, but for what they
were doing, they had a couple of tunes that were ok, Hangin' Tough
was one of them.
