Hayley Williams & Josh Farro -- the core of 'Paramore' -- have been known for their disputes, ultimately culminating in Josh and his brother Zac leaving the band late last year.

Their latest record, from 2009, plays almost like Rumors -- except Hayley's the only one who gets to have her say, and the rest just have to play along. I can't claim to know for a fact who or what Hayley wrote these songs about, but at least 6 or 7 of them sound like really obvious digs on Josh, especially considering the fact that he cited religious differences as his reason for leaving the band.

Ronnie James Dio vs Ritchie Blackmore

According to the reissue of Down To Earth:
Blackmore's writing partnership with Ronnie James Dio had been the group's cornerstone, but he now expressed dissatisfaction with their future creativity. He felt limited by the narrow scope of what could be achieved by this formation of the group. Crewmember Raymond D'addario observed the rapidly deteriorating relationship: "They'd go in the studio and Ronnie would be sitting in a corner. He'd listen to the music and write all the stuff down but there was no interaction at all. He'd sit in another room and listen to the band, but he wouldn't sing".

Blackmore's reluctance to communicate his point saw [Roger] Glover act as the go-between. "Roger became Ritchie's conduct. He came to me and told me what he wanted and said could I stop writing in such a fantasy orientated way and maybe write some love songs," explains Dio. "My reply was no, so that was it - goodbye".

Jefferson Airplane-
By 71 Balin left the band mostly due to isolation from the other two groups feuding. Slick/Kantner on the one side and Kaukonen/Casady on the other.

Nightwish Tarja Turenen and the lead guitarist founder Tuomas Holopainen, apparently he decided that she was no longer putting the bands interests first and blamed part of the emerging rift on her husband. Fired after a concert when Tuomas gave her a letter which the other band members signed Tarja was shocked gave a couple of interviews on the matter and then went on to her own solo career.

Too bad although I like Annette Olzon fine, something is missing from Nightwish's epic sound now, and they are still Finland's best selling artists of all time.

Are you telling me we're on Page 2 and Lennon and McCartney are yet to make an appearance?

Also, apparently Jimi Hendrix and Noel Redding of the Jimi Hendrix Experience often came to blows.

One of my favourite guitar slingers but apparently not so easy to get on with.
