Name This Old Song

Heard a song in the gym tonight and didn't have Shazam with me to identify it.

It sounded like it was from the 70s easy listening genre and the chorus went something like this:

"I got paid today but I don't have anyone tonight...."

Unfortunately, that's about all I can remember.

This is probably a bit wide of the mark, but those lyrics look awfully similar to those in Sam Cooke's 'Another Saturday Night', which has, of course, been covered by various other artists over the years.

Now that you posted it, the Cat Steven's one is the more familiar one to me. I saw Aero's post last night, and those lyrics were going around in my head.

That's the song alright, although it was the Cat Stevens cover that I heard that Jake posted. However, the Sam Cooke's original version might be as good if not better.
