Obscure Hippie Song

I remember the song playing on the radio sometime around the year 1970. I only remember partial lyrics that went something like this: "Oswald... I told you I killed my wife..." with a flute or piccolo playing in the background and an I think an organ. This song only played on the radio for only a few weeks where I lived in Oregon at that time and then I never heard it again.
