I researched that and it's evidently an organ Peter Townshend plays albeit it sounds much like a synthesizer:

...but in the end, the frenetic sequence was played by Townshend on a Lowrey Berkshire Deluxe TBO-1 organ using its marimba repeat feature.

Some great songs in the inital post! :D Sorry I don't really have time to go through all of them.

I thought Rick Wright did some excellent Organ work on the extended version of Interstellar Overdrive - though I thought all the band members had a spot of their own in the original song - which is what's missing from the Piper at the Gates Of Dawn Version.

Another one I enjoy is Kaleidoscope from Procol Harum.

Hmmmmm. "96 Tears" is up there in my top 35, "Green-Eyed Lady makes my honourable mentions but "For Ladies Only" I somehow overlooked.

I see Subdivisions By Rush in there. Great tune, but definitely synthesized.

As for what I would add.......if youhave the Allmans, you can't skip In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.

I would also add The Sermon and The Cat by Jimmy Smith:grinthumb

Is "gimme some lovin" by spencer davis an organ? I like the blues brothers version better, but I think the original is organ driven
