Only a month ago I won some tickets through work to see Usher (only heard some of his songs) but hay free tickets, I can't complain!!!

So I took a friend to see him and he was just crap. He is in love with himself, he loved girls screaming at him and the songs that I do knows of his, he didn't he play them right. He went off and did his own variations on them.

Well I asked my friend how she felt about him! and she felt the same. So we walked out half way through the concert with the security guards stopping us, swearing that the concert is going to get better!

Anyway we went back to town, sang some Karaoke and went to a Pancake House for some pancakes!!! Turned out to be a pretty awesome night!! :D

Not surprised. I wouldn't see Usher for free. Then again, I don't like the whole r & b thing. I'd probably consider seeing New Edition, Bobby Brown or R. Kelly for free. Probably Seal, as well, but that is about it.

In the late 90s I was dragged to see the Steve Miller Band. Not a huge fan of them but the ticket was free so I went. I forget who the opening act was but Steve Miller was horrible. A couple of the guys who went were huge fans and they were pissed off at how bad they sounded. And then to top it all off, they're playing Fly Like An Eagle and they started rapping in the middle of it! Rapping!:wtf: They had some guest rapper and it was so totally out of place that words cannot describe our shock. And this was in the middle of the show. We just looked at each other and without saying a word, started making for the exits. We left right then and there. This was an outdoor show so it wasn't hard to get out of there. We reached the parking lot and then the invectives started flying. Especially from the guys who had previously liked Steve Miller. No longer.

Honorable mention goes to Candlebox who I saw open for Rush. Totally mismatched groups and Candlebox just flat out sucked live. Truly awful!

Saw Dokken a couple of times in the 80`s, once supporting the mighty Accept and headlining their Back To The Attack tour.

What was disappointing was George Lynch`s guitar playing, I think he is great and when I see a band live I want to hear the band etc sound as good as the studio recording, his solo`s were different, I just didn`t enjoy it.

It's a three year bump but what the heck. Been a lot of bad concerts I'm sure in that time.

I've been lucky to have been in to some great concerts and have pretty much seen every band I've wanted to see. But some concerts are not as good as others.

Metallica in 2008. They are my favorite band and so seeing them for the first time was huge. Unfortunately James went and got laryngitis. So it was a struggle for him to get through the concert. He gave it is all and I enjoyed myself. But I for sure want to go to another Metallica gig at full health lol.

Another disappointing concert was Iron Maiden in 2010. This one was no fault of Iron Maiden. They put on a classic show. The problem was I had to have my appendix taken out early in the week and our tickets were near the barrier. Talk about an unpleasant experience. I was in pain and barely standing, getting knocked around but i was a TROOPER and get thru it.

Probably Rush on I think the Vapor Trails or maybe Roll the Bones tour. Having not really liked an album from them since Moving Pictures I never would have gone but my sister bought me tickets for my birthday and I didn't want to be ungrateful.

I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised but it was a let down through and through. The idiotic surround sound accents they had were really annoying as well.
