Bob Dylan, as much as I love his studio work, is one artist I don't think I'd want to see live. Definitely best left on the record player, that one![]()
I'm gonna parrot my previous posts this week a little bit here, but I stumbled across this thread and felt I should put some closure on it
I'm glad B.B. King was on the same tour and convinced me to give Bob a go on Tuesday.
Bob has obviously improved his life show since the late 80's (although his last Adelaide show, in 2005, recieved similar reviews according to people I know that went). He now moves around on stage, and his voice isn't as great as it used to be (as much as his 60's voice could be considered "great") but it was no worse than his singing on his latest album.
In fact, he did this song and nailed it true to the record. As you can see, the vocals are gravelly even in the studio, but it kinda works in a wierd way.
Either he's listened to the fans and lifted his game, or he was having a good night. Definitely heard a lot more disappointing shows
