This would be Morbid Angels first album to really hit the mainstream market, it is the best selling death metal album of all time so far. The songs to me sound like they just took the best of Blessed and Altars and blended them in to make Covenant the awesome album it is. Again a mix of slow tempo songs with blast beats still in there, to faster songs like Vengeance is Mine. David Vincent was again terrific on vocals, Trey delivered fantastic solos, Pete as always showed why he is a legend among legends.
The production on some parts seemed a little bit sterile but that doesn't have near as much impact as it would on Domination but I will get to that album.
Not a great deal I need to add other then with good reason this album is such a seller, an absolute must have for death metal fanatics.
