They all sell for under 10 bucks here so I might check them out.

Re: Midnight Oil

If you liked Diesel & Dust, you should enjoy "Blue Sky Mining" as well. Their first album is the most different a really hard edge on that one.

Awesome, I like albums that have that sort of variety, bands too I should say.
Cheers for the suggestion, Midnight Oil until tonight were a band I had sort of forgotten about until someone mentioned Aussie rock lol

Re: Midnight Oil

ACDC, Midnight Oil and Little River Band are my 3 favorite Aussie bands...not that I'm an expert by any means. Australia has put out some great music over the years.

Re: Midnight Oil

Been listening to the Oil for about an hour now. All of a sudden I got an urge to hear them (Perhaps it was subliminal because I listened to an interview with our PM about the carbon tax on the drive home, and PG is a big environmental activist! :heheh:) and I'm loving every song at the moment, really fitting my mood! :cheers2

geez, the Oils...i been going to their gigs since "the bus to Bondi" days...Garrett's politicism never really bugged me that much, I just got into the tunes...fave tunes include

bus to bondi, u.s forces, hercules, dream world, power and the passion, blue sky mine and beds are burning (among others)

Read About It

The rich get richer, the poor get the picture
The bombs never hit you when you're down so low
Some got pollution, some revolution
There must be some solution but I just don't know
The bosses want decisions, the workers need ambitions
There won't be no collisions when they move so slow
Nothing ever happens, nothing really matters
No one ever tells me so what am I to know

been listening to MO since the old days....I stumbled upon them in the mid 80's when I found this album in the cut-out bin at Sound Warehouse. Nobody really knew them back then (in my neck of the woods).
