If you are interested in synthesizers try Isao tomita and synergy(aka Larry fast).
Synergy

Another interesting band still using mellotron is anglagard - who actually use three of them.

I've got the Larry Fast album and it was not easy to find. The most famous Tomita album in my youth was Snowflakes are Dancing, which I've also got. For synthesizer, I like the albums by Dave Greenslade, Roger Powell and Peter Baumann. All are tricky to find on CD.

Been listening to Traffic ~ Mr Fantasy while doing dishes…….i had to stop and listen to this song twice, with my Skull Candy on my ears.

Awesome Mellotron, Dave Mason I think..maybe Winwood.
Hole In My Shoe

Now I’m on the hunt for Mellotron.

All the first 7 Moody Blues lps contain plenty of mellotron as does early King Crimson.
Here are a few of my favorite mellotron tracks. They are often long prog songs.
Strawbs- 'Autumn'

Hackett- 'Shadow of the Heirophant' (guitar player from Genesis)

Moody Blues -Out and In

My personal favorite...
King Crimson- In The Court....

A list of various mellotron favorites.....

Not on the above short list but one of my favorite obscure bands with mellotron all over the lp.
Spring- 'The Prisoner'

Thanks @dr wu

Shadow of the Hierophant is stunning! I was just listening to that on a *mellotron* YouTube playlist.

The Moody Blues & King Crimson are a given choice, from what I’ve been reading. I will definitely be revisiting those while on my mellotron quest.

I have always been attracted to organ / piano driven music, but I am trying to “hear” the distinction of the Mellotron vs. Hammond, etc. I’m learning, I hope.

Here’s one from The Rolling Stones ~ We Love You.
I hear it plainly on the mono version alongside a piano..

Posted this because Magic said she's an organ/ keyboard fan and this imho is one of the greatest keyboard tracks of all time..... at least in the world of prog....much loved by prog fans.
Epic track ......simply beautiful and jazzy/proggy.
Caravan- "Nine Feet Underground"
