@dr wu long song, but definitely beautiful.

Had no clue Steven Tyler played Mellotron.:omg:

As many times as I have listened to Dream On, I knew there was piano but not a Mellotron. I definitely hear it now that I’m aware.

Another gasp from me…..Lynyrd Skynyrd. No wonder these songs were so fantastic…..they had that extra somethin somethin besides a killer slide guitar.

Only in 2 bars in the second verse....I would have run it again in the song but then no one asked me.

The lands of Marshall Stack.
Deffo a great piece of hardware, and a nifty invention that the likes of Brian Jones put to good use. Mellotron maestro here(Mike Pinder) at IOW Festival 1970.
Introduced by Ray Thomas (three now riding that see saw up there)

Melancholy Man - The Moody Blues.

Never was a huge fan.....did like some of their radio tracks though.
My friend Bill....still my friend btw....used to play 'Toys...' and 'Rocks' all the time when I came over which is why I never bought them. ;)

Yes...the Beatles and Moody Blues along with a few other early bands influenced many into using mellotron.
