KISS in Indianapolis in '99. It was the first and only time that I saw them in an outdoor venue. The music was so loud and distorted that there were times that I couldn't even recognize where Ace was in his solos. And mind you that I'm a LOOOOONG time KISS fan. I know those songs like the back of my hand. I may as well been a babe in the woods at times on that day, however.

It's hard to say...probably the Butthole Surfers when I saw them in 1987 (I think it was). I was right up front, and a bunch of huge Marshall 4x12 speaker cabs were only maybe 15 feet away from me. It was a pretty small club...

I saw a bunch of shows there in the 1980s, and I was usually up front ...it was pretty common for my ears to ring for days after seeing a show there.

I saw Motorhead in a different venue, a bigger place, but still just a moderately-sized club...they were pretty friggin' loud too.
