I hope the original and only Foreigner gets back together for a reunion and farewell tour. There needs to be closure and everyone needs to see what made this band a legend- The original, authentic lineup. Just like KISS did. Anything else is just wrong

My feeling is Foreigner suffered with the loss of Ian McDonald. The band were okay immediately afterwards, but with subsequent lineup changes they went into decline and became repetitive and dull (despite great musicians). It is one thing finding a similar singer, but it is another to recapture the chemistry of a particular lineup.

Lou Gramm was not original, as he copied Paul Rodgers, but he was a great singer.

I liked the fact that Ronnie Montrose hired Davey Pattison, Sabbath signed Dio and Purple employed Coverdale & Hughes. They weren't soundalikes or even the original bands anymore, but they were valiant efforts to start again.

Kelly Hansen is a hell of a vocalist. He was in a great 80's band name of Hurricane who released a mini LP and two noteworthy full albums.
