I'm guessing the chipmunk in question is Cher.

You know, they've always been tight lipped about Vincent's departure. I've read he was let go because of 'conduct detrimental to the band'.

I know Gene says Vinnie was 'one of the most self destructive' people he'd ever met.

Has anyone ever done any investigating about this? I'm curious to know what actually happened.

I've always wondered that myself, though they have said it was because he refused to sign the contract agreement.

I could be talking out of my ass on this one, but I have a feeling that as witty and comical as some of these Paul Stanley "quotes" may be, I'm curious if any of it was really said by Paul and not just someone on the internet making shit up (which is entirely possible).
