:grinthumb:cheers2 Fantastic album!!!

Don't get me wrong...I love Unmasked & the Elder but I would like to have seen how this would've went down a couple of years earlier. The same thing with Alice Cooper...I love those early 80's albums but it seemed like when Kiss & Cooper went off in different directions in 1980 Ozzy jumped on the heavy metal theatrical bandwagon & came out on top leaving Kiss & Cooper in the dust during that era. You then had Judas Priest, The Scorpions, & Iron Maiden all coming into their own. I just always thought that Kiss & Cooper should've came out in 1980 in the Heavy Metal Theatrical style which would've been right up their alley

I know this is a case of "should've,would've, & could've" & "who Cares?" but these are just my thoughts & as I said I love the early 80's stuff by Coop & Kiss & I'm not putting down those albums by any means

Re: The Official KISS Thread!

I'm one who loves Unmasked and Elder and albums like Zipper Catches Skin, Special Forces and DaDa... but I know what you mean....it would have been interesting to see these acts come out with a Creatures of the Night or Constrictor earlier.

I don't care what anyone says, this was one of the best albums of the 80's and one of KISS best albums. Funny thing about it is that Ace didn't play on it at all, and the lead guitar work was actually done by like 4 or 5 different guys different guys.

still, great writing, great music. A darker album in spots and Paul Stanley's vocals may have been at an all-time high.

Two thumbs way way way up!

By the way, Wikipedia shows that the album was released on Oct 13th. *shrug*

Re: The Official KISS Thread!

I thought this was pretty cool, it was actually passed on to me by my mom.

It's from a couple of yrs ago, but I love the patriotism in it. Like him or hate him, I do appreciate some things that Gene and Kiss have done in the past couple of years regarding this sort of thing. Add to it, the Wounded Warriors Project that they have gotten involved with.... very honorable in my honest opinion
