The photo evidence would seem to argue with this. There is some really grainy video of them playing at a small club or something and he is wearing the bandit there as well. It is possible all of this is from just a handful of public appearances though. After all, it's not like they were anything like famous back then. In fact, their lean times are among the most lean any band has ever endured. And lasting for years to boot.
This is one of the reasons that - love them or not - you simply have to respect the determination these guys had.

According to my Kisstory book, Paul states wore the bandit makeup for just one photo shoot and two shows.

No clue about any of that. I just know the Bandit look was very short lived, not sure how short.

Here's another piece of footage from the same timeframe, about 10 days earlier (12/21/73)

Hard to tell if Paul is a bandit here or if it's something else.

Kiss to perform at NHL game at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kiss will perform at the NHL game at Dodger Stadium on Jan. 25.

The NHL said Thursday that the rock band will play during the pregame festivities and first intermission of the Stadium Series game between the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.

Featuring Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, Kiss is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of its first album and will also be inducted into the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame this year.

He doesn't mention which two, but obviously this is one of them.

I believe that because it seemed like Paul really experimented w/ the make-up in the early days. If you notice on the photo from the Daisy videos on my previous post Paul's make-up is kind of an Alice Cooper meets the NY Dolls. I love my Kisstory book but it's hard for me to read because it's so big & heavy(I think it's about 10 or more pounds!). I keep telling my wife we need a podium so I could read that book or my Kiss Kompendium Book which is all of the comic books that Kiss released & that has to weigh 15 pounds! I couldn't imagine what that 4 foot book would be like. I really look forward to this year's big documentary movie

20 years ago today, KISS played Makin' Love live on TV on New Year's Eve

Great track from the 70's that didn't seem to make any set lists during the 80's and 90's.

Oh, gawd I loved that song!! What a great riff. Makin' Love rocks, and I can't believe we don't here it more often. That, and I Stole Your Love.
