I am sorry if I haven't picked the right forum to post this in. This may have been discussed before but I was wondering what music that you listen to that you've passed along and now your children like?
My daughter is only 5, but she LOVES music, and I am not trying to indoctrinate her (I SWEAR ). I just made her her first mix CD which she picked the songs for. Among several children's songs, these were the rock songs she picked. I was so proud and, in some cases, surprised.
New York Telephone Conversation - Lou Reed
I'm Sticking With You - Velvet Underground
We Are Gonna Be Friends - White Stripes
Dance Magic Dance - David Bowie (Labyrinth soundtrack)
Starman - David Bowie
I Like to Boogie - T. Rex
All Tomorrow's Parties - Velvet Underground (she says she likes this song because she thinks it is about her, as she wears costumes and likes parties )
She also asked for "Cherry Bomb" by the Runaways ...but I had to nix that, at least for now.
So what do your kids like?
