Kid Rock buys home for wounded war veteran 8/19/2012

The story is a couple months old, but still enjoyable. I thought it was pretty heartwarming.

To quote the article, "Kid Rock met the nonprofit’s founder at a past event and suggested he provide homes for injured troops from Michigan."

I remember seeing this on the local news a couple weeks back.

I am not a fan of his generally, but can give him a "well done" for his generous donation to a war vet.

KISS has been quite involved with the Wounded Warriors project over the past couple of years.
They alsohired a couple of military vets to work as roadies on their current tour. When Gene
sang the National Anthem at an NFL game a couple of weeks ago, he had representatives
from the armed forces next to him also singing along.

Anything positive that people do regarding the military will always get a salute from me!

Maybe he is becoming the Toby Keith of his genre. Good on him though, well, except for that marrying Pam Anderson thing he has a good track record.
