I once read an interview with the guitarist for Triumph who had just finished touring with the Stones. This was back in the early to mid eighties if I remember correctly. .. anyway, he said that he used to watch the Stones every night from stage side and that Kiff dropped his pick every night so often he began to count his bumbling. I don't recall what he averaged his nightly drops at but it was a ridiculously large number of errors. ...

Kiff is not my go to guy for commentary on musicianship.

Yes, when I think modern rock the first bands that come to mind are that band which came out over 30 years ago and that band that came out 45 years ago.

Good thing that rap "musicians" don't need to actually " play" live or they might compete with post 70s Stones in the worst live mess category.

Well Sabbath/Ozzy and Metallica have I believe sold a combined 200 million albums worldwide, which actually is about the same number as the Stones have, so okay they may both be a “joke” to him, but clearly there’s a lot of people out there with quite a sense of humour!

And this from the life-long junkie who mixed his own dead father’s ashes with cocaine, and snorted them….so who really should we all be laughing at more? – Sabbath/Metallica, or the crack-head with his own dad up his nose??

Of course he's right about rap, but then again that's no surprise either, and will they even care? - I doubt that too many rappers out there are aiming their music/message at wrinkled old guitarists heading towards 80 years old.
