Sad Wings but really man? What are you thinking about? 70s Priest vs 80s Priest?

Is there really a serious competition here?

my faves are the two studio albums that Les Binks played drums on. I chose Stained Class for it's progressive tendencies over HBFL, which is awesome but started to lean in a more commercial vein. But I love all of their 70's albums and you can't go wrong picking any of those, even Rocka Rolla.

Stained Class is their only album from the 70's that doesnt have a clunker on it, so it's my fave.

There's no mention of 80's Priest in here anywhere.

Rocka Rolla is the best Judas Priest album from the 70s. Actually it is the best Priest album ever.

I think it is the second best after Sad Wings (I bought them both on one CD), although it is good to hear from someone who likes that album. I remember when Rocka Rolla was released as a single. It knocks United into a cocked hat.

I'm gonna have to go with Sad Wings as one of their greatest albums...that and Unleashed In The East. I also am a huge fan of Rocka Rolla but I thought they really came into their sound on the second album.

It was more consistant all the way through. The first is very experimental, very cool, but more holes from front to back.
