I can understand why some fans hate Ram It Down and Turbo, but not the hate for British Steel. What is it that some fans complain about it for? I actually need enlightening, is it production, is it the songs? Do share.
Got me.... I find it to be one of the better early metal albums ever recorded and I can see why a lot of people considered it a 'turning point' for JP. Hell Bent For Leather is also another example of a nearly perfect album from JP.
As for any negativity towards British Steel, the only thing I could think of (and I"m just guessing) would be the radio-friendly Living After Midnight that mighta chafed a few folks over the years.
Lol Living After Midnight is one of the few 'radio friendly' songs that doesn't sound like they sold themselves out. Which is hard to say about many bands that took the commercial turn.
To each their own but also some complain about British Steels production which I thought was actually why it is such a good album.
