Picking up the trail, after "Screaming..." came another first class album, 1984's "Defender of the Faith". This one never had the big hit single like "British Steel" or "Screaming..." but it is far from a disappointment. In fact because it didn't spawn any hit songs, it is stuffed with good songs that have not been overplayed. "Defenders of the Faith" is also considered he last Great album in the "Commercial" phase of Priest by many experts/critics. I don't know if that is totally accurate, I mean really I don't think Priest made a bad album.

Defenders of the Faith is a GREAT album. Good point about them not really having a huge hit off this album like they did on a couple others. I love every single song on this album and have since the first time I heard it. Good, solid power metal album if there ever was one.

My favorite would probably be The Sentinel. This song kicks ass both in studio and live.

Dont forget Sweaty we even saw Rob Halford with FIGHT. what a performance from the man !! .....HES A GOD JUDAS PRIEST even outshone RAINBOW, SCORPIONS and the rest at the 1st "monsters of rock" festival here in the U.K ....superb memories...THEY ROCK!!!!

Fights first CD was mind numbing
