Oh almost forgot - Jethro Tull were brill last night And we had great seats - right near the front just a few metres from Ian Anderson. It's the first time I've seen them and was very impressed
They kicked off with my favourite LG "Dun Ringill"
Then I can't remember the order exactly but it went something like...
The Water Carrier
Lifes A long Song
Eurology
Songs From The Wood
Nothing Is Easy
Fat Man
Budapest
Aqualung
Bouree
Tea With The Princess
A Change Of Horses
Bug (Martin Barre's Instrumental.)
Encore was....
Locomotive Breath.
That is a first class set of songs for sure...Songs from the Wood and Nothing Is Easy jump out at me right away. Not surprising Locomotive Breath is the last song Tull has played at all three concerts I've seen here.
I have a feeling Iv'e missed one out but I can't think, I realised it is 21 years since I last saw them, time runs on. Doane did a fantastic drum slot, just long enough to leave you wanting more not one that seems endless.
Speaking of ''War Child'', one of my favorite Jethro Tull songs, ''Rainbow Blues'' is found as a bonus tack on this album. The first time I heard this was on my brother's album, ''M.U. The Best of Jethro Tull''. I've heard ''Rainbow Blues'' was not recorded during the ''War Child'' sessions, but rather the ''Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die! '' sessions, or even, ''Minstrel in the Gallery'' sessions.
