Stevie Ray Vaughan is more spectacular than Beck. His sound is really hot and vibrant.

Beck is excellent on jazz rock fusion, but sometimes it is a little cold.

SRV. Beck had a wider perspective on styles, but much of his stuff doesn't click with me.
I pretty much learned to play guitar from the "Live at The El Mocambo" video and a tab book of SRV stuff. That video performance blew my socks off, and is still my all-time favourite music video.
