In all seriousness, out of all the suggestions I'd take Henry Rollins. He has a music background and is very smart. He's not such a huge celebrity that he would overshadow the contestants. He can be critical but in reality he seems like a nice guy so he definitely wouldn't go over the top and be meaner than Simon. It gives American Idol a little more rock cred as even though no contestant will ever be respected as a legit rock artist they'll at least be able to get pop rock level respect like Daughtry. I would love to see Rollins in the role!

I agree with Harmony that David is more appealing than most give him credit for and I agree with Soot & 7G, that Rollins is probably the best suggested in this thread.
