Is Black Sabbath considered Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, or Death Metal?

well, seeing how they pretty much started the heavy metal genre, I'd hafta call 'em heavy metal. Dark rhythms and solos, downtuning, and lyrics that went against the grain of pop music at the time. Sounds like heavy metal to me.
