Re: Iron Maiden

Am I the only one who actually liked the Bayley albums X Factor and Virtual XI?

Re: Iron Maiden

X Factor is a decent album....Bayley did some song writing on that album. Man on the Edge is one of his songs:

Re: Iron Maiden

Virtual XI wasnt a bad one either, not great but had some good songs on it.
Angel and the Gambler, Lightning Strikes Twice were good.

Re: Iron Maiden

I don't hate on Blaze he had an impossible task to take Bruce's place and did his very best.

But I don't play the Maiden albums he's singing on nearly as much as the Dickinson and Di'Anno recordings.

Re: Iron Maiden

His work with Wolfsbane was very good, but I always felt he never really "fitted" in Maiden (Just the wrong type of singer, really), vocally nor in terms of his songwriting.

It's strange, Maiden supposedly turned down both Doogie White AND John West, both of whom would have fitted the band very well, at least in my opinion.

Re: Iron Maiden

Maybe they knew Bruce would come back so they intentionally picked someone who wasn't of the caliber of many other potential replacements...when it comes to bands and they way they work it's a genuine miracle anything gets recorded and released anyway.:heheh:

Re: Iron Maiden

The Blaze records are both quite underated, I dont hate on him either, in fact X Factor was better then one or 2 of Dickinsons albums imo.
