I have a great store I order from that can get almost anything, they will scour the globe to fulfill an order for you. They are just up the coast from where DKW lives and are by far my favorite CD source now.

Well, yeah things are very easy to find on the internet now days but I miss the old days of going into a physical store and just looking through all their stuff. I can still do that but I need to drive to either Ventura or L.A. now.

I know what you mean DKW, that is why I am glad I found that store, I have gotten albums from them that I never thought I would find other than e-bay. And when they couldn't get one particular CD they asked me if I wanted them to keep it on file and to get it whenever it was available in the future. Truly a godsend in this era of all my good stores closing. We are pretty much down to HMV here now, and they have a limited selection at best. I really miss the great old record shops, I could spend a couple hours just milling around checking things out easily.

I used to do that a lot.
I'm a big guy with really long hair so I would get the usual store dic following me around until someone would say "don't worry he always buys stuff" lol

I used to be on a first name basis with quite a few store owners back in the day, now it's so impersonal not nearly the excitement of checking out the new arrivals or imports every month or so.

The store I've been dealing with over the last 30 years have been great. Back in the day when I was an avid vinyl collector they would put stuff away for me that came in. Most of it the rare, obscure heavy psych/hard rock from the late 60's/early 70's. I could give it a listen and decide if I wanted to take it or put it away for a later date to purchase or just pass on it.

I did quite a few trips with the two owners over to Vancouver to the record swap meet as I had a truck and canopy and we loaded 'er up with vinyl. The benefit was I would get first crack browsing the other sellers albums before the public was let in.

I used to love going into vinyl shops when I was younger. I developed the technique of flippin' threw those bins pretty darn fast.

Wolf, I used to get the same thing going into a shop for the first time. The employees looking at me suspiciously being a big guy and long blond hair. I would always give them the look back, "got a problem?"

It's pretty hard not to react that way actually.
At one of the big Cd outlets in L.A. I even went so far as to crowd the guy following me while he was "looking" at stuff as if I wanted to see something in his area

After a while when be backed off I started following him around ..it freaked him out so bad he about ran to the back room lol It was funny as hell because he had been following my every move around the store..

after I bought a couple CDs I headed back through the store to the back door where I always park and this big dude ( about 6'4'' ) came out and tried to intimidate me by staring. I just looked him back in the eyes and laughed at them.

A couple days later I went back and I heard the clerks talking softly...
"That's the guy ..lol ..you should see the footage it's so funny ..blank ..freaked out when he started following him ..and they were both laughing

They don't follow me anymore but that big guy hates me lmao

Skeptics Apocalypse is excellent thrash. Would I be wrong to say that I hear some Judas Priest influences as well? Still the "unholy trinity" reigns supreme.

I listened to some Suicidal Angels on youtube. "Slaughtering Christianity",the intro scared the livin' shit out of me.
