How did you find CRF?

I guess this is a splinter group of sorts. I think the original board was closed and sort of split into two different boards. I wish that I could remember the name of the guy who ran the first board.

Wasn't this forum initiated by someone who was banned from CRF2? With all due respect, that board sucks anyway, it's so damn hard to find a good music board these days, all most of them seem to want to do is create lists or make pointless polls. Anyway, this environment has thus far been the most tolerable.

I used to belong to a classicrockforums before in the past, and it died I guess. I read a post where someone mentioned a former name of Sneelock and that is very familiar, I think I remember a Wimpy avatar from Popeye. My name on that site was PinkFloydSWayne and my avatar was the screaming face from Pink Floyd's Wall. Anyways I took a look online and found this site which I think has the exact same address, and decided I would join to get back in the internet music discussion group. I was wondering if anyone could offer some history on the origins of this site, and who I might know from the original classic rock forums?

^^I only arrived here in 2009 myself but I'll give you a condensed version of the story.

The original owner was frustrated with how his forum was going so he basically neglected it, stopped paying the server rental and it died.

Shaggy the current owner arrived a few years ago and bought the domain name and put the forum back online. Magic found it in 2009, we both joined and eventually decided to try and get it running again.

I don't know any of the original members, in internet terms that is like a hundred years ago, they have almost all retired/moved on to somewhere else.

What you see here now is basically a forum just over 2+ years old with almost all new members.
