Refreshing to hear someone list King Crimson as one of their favorite acts!Welcome to where rock and roll never forgets!My mother's family was originally from Italy.The region of Sicily.

I have to thank my sister, who introduced me to King Crimson, some years ago.
I like their first two cds and also the one named Red...
And King Crimson is the band that introduced me to one of the most beautiful genres in music, that is "progressive rock".
Oh Sicily! It is one of the most amazing region in Italy. Marvellous landscape and sea!
And, culturally, it's a very rich region.
Since this is a music forum, I tell you that some of the greatest musician and singer/songwriters we have in Italy nowadays come from Sicily. From the city named Catania in particular. Franco Battiato and Carmen Consoli are two outstanding singer/songwriters.
Battiato, for instance, played prog in the early years of his career. But even now that he has turned to pop/rock (but it's reductive for a man of his caliber to try to put him in a specific genre), he is still a true and talented artist.
