Out of preference, I'd vote for Keith. He was not a very good drummer because he played his own lead instead of keeping rhythm!

There are a handful on this list that are pretty legendary though.

I'd also say others. Those that come to mind are Neil Peart, Ian Paice, Buddy Rich... the list goes on.

ahh yeah, forgot about Ian Paice. I'd put him just below Neil and Mike for rock drummers. Dude was amazing.

To me it's a dead heat between Neil Peart and Ceasar Z. of Golden Earring.

For me it's between Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker.
I was surprised by how much Mitch Mitchell is worshiped by fellow drummers.
He is very highly regarded. A drummer's drummer.
But I'd take Ginger by just a bit.
I like Cream and Blind Faith a bit more than the JH Experience.
